attack

Victor Gold writes about George Bush in his new book, Invasion of the Party Snatchers: How the Holy-Rollers and the Neo-Cons Destroyed the GOP:

"For all the Rove-built facade of his being a 'strong' chief executive, George W. Bush has been, by comparison to even hapless Jimmy Carter, the weakest, most out of touch president in modern times. Think Dan Quayle in cowboy boots."

He refers to Dick Cheney as "a vice president out of control" who has a "touch of paranoia" and is a "megalomaniac."

So who's Victor Gold? Another Bush insider distancing himself from the debacle that is this administration. At the request of Lynn Cheney, Gold wrote glowing biographies for the inaugurations of these thugs in 2001. It occurs to me that dogs do this too. If one dog in the pack goes down, looks as if it's weakening or sick, the rest of the pack will turn on it. I pray every day that the appearance of vulnerability in the White House truly is that; that there's still hope that we'll get our country back and that the damage will not be irreparable.

The full story of Vic Gold's disillusionment in the Washington Post here.

It will be interesting to see what comes out on those crooks in chief as more rats desert the ship. I can't help but hope that this will turn into some sort of wake up call to the people of this country and Bush et al will finally be held accountable for their actions. Too much to hope for I know, but it's a nice thought.

I agree with Tony, and can't wait to see who's next on the hit and run brigade. I am hoping the momentum in this country swings back in the Liberal/Green direction soon. I am rapidly reaching my wit's end with the state of our nation. Yep, Lynette, just like a pack of dogs...

I received this very same article from a friend in the Pentagon this morning ...

speaking of which, Lynette please keep someone you don't know in your good karma thoughts and prayers today. He's hoping that finally the NC judge will award him primary for 3 beautiful sons. Mom is sadly not sober/able to stay on meds for mental health issues/had abused boys/much neglect/pulled loaded gun in front of child, etc. It's been a long hard fight for our friend, a 9/11 survivor. His burn injuries didn't exactly help his case for custody. Boys are up here now and really blooming with love and care. Amazing what speech therapy and fresh vegetables can accomplish ...
