when do we get someone loyal to us?

A House committee released documents Monday that showed hundreds of instances in which a White House official who was previously an oil industry lobbyist edited government climate reports to play up uncertainty of a human role in global warming or play down evidence of such a role. . . .

Mr. Cooney said his past work opposing restrictions on heat-trapping gases for the oil industry had had no bearing on his actions once he joined the White House. “When I came to the White House,” he testified, “my sole loyalties were to the president and his administration.”

Emphasis is mine. When do we ~ regular folks ~ get someone loyal to us? Why would this jackass lie about climate change when he has to live here too? From Common Dreams.

That's a very good question. It won't come with the current administration, that's for sure.

Why would he lie? Simple - he doesn't live here with us. He lives with the rest of their administration in their own reality, where the things that affect us don't apply.

Yeah, it's astounding that the same people screaming about family values and how children are the most important thing are the same people perfectly happy to go on destroying the planet for the next generations.

I can only find one explanation: they don't care about children; they only care about their own children. And they think that if they can get rich enough by destroying the environment, their children will still be able to have a good life even though the rest of the earth's population will be strugling to survive.

Then, of course, there are the small number of people who honestly think it doesn't matter because the second coming will be here any day now.
