complete asshat rants on fired gay translators

Our government should be crawling on its hands and knees to retrieve all of the gay Arabic language translators who've been discharged. It's insane. If you can stomach it, you can watch this revolting asshat ranting about "social experimentation" on CNN. It's worth watching just to see the smug wingnut put in his place by a fetching military man.

And more from MSNBC:
“The military is placing homophobia well ahead of national security,” said Steve Ralls, spokesman for the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, a nonprofit group that advocates for the rights of gay military members. “It’s rather appalling that in the weeks leading up to 9/11 messages were coming in, waiting to be translated ... and at the same time they were firing people who could’ve done that job.”

Gah, what a jackass. I love how he complains about being interrupted when he does all the interrupting.

The military man rocked in this exchange, and I lol when he suggested hooter man sign up for duty to his country.

How many times could this smiling jackass scream "It's against the rules, it's against the rules!" Good grief the wingnuts trivialize themselves every opportunity they get....

don't you just want to whack this clown? "it's against the rules!" is such a ridiculous, childish, stupid argument in this instance. i can't imagine any intelligent, reasonable human being even proffering that as justification for firing translators who are a huge part of protecting this country against future terrorist attacks.

and willym, exactly. how he can stand there yapping at a man in uniform is beyond me.

al gore's new book about the loss of our reasonable public discourse on issues of importance is right on target, imo.

And who was the fetching military man? We love him. The fact that he's straight makes me love him more, given this particular topic. Aravosis did a great job, too.
