tell me again what's wrong with government regulation?

Another appalling story out of wholly unregulated, purely profit-motivated China.

Heartbreaking. This is why I love animals more than people. Superior intelligence is wasted on our species. The FDA has become such a weak agency of late, that this is happening here as well. The funding for war has weakened our agencies across the board, and there will be a lot of chickens coming home to roost because of the ASSHATS in power. When will compassion and kindness ever win out over Greed? How can someone's self interest be taken to such an extreme that they are willing to poison children for cash? Please make it stop!

Way off topic. I was going to email you, but where it says, "figure it out," I couldn't.

I hope you got some rest and nothing was damaged with all the water.

I know about the hate filled voices. I think they were imprinted on my brain as a baby and will never totally go away. They are the thorn in my flesh. So like Debra says I have learned to deal with them. I sing. Real damn loud. I am not a singer. If I am in a place where I can't sing out loud I sing in my head. I sing "All Hail The Power Of Jesus Name." I don't even know why I sing that but it stops the voices cold.

You are breaking my heart with this thinner thing. Eat normal and be grateful to be active and "frisky." The voices want our distruction. I believe they are powered by Evil. Seek after Higher things. I wrote this last part to me but you can read it too. ;) Take care.

China isn't entirely unregulated. In fact, current US manufactured cars cannot be imported into China because they don't meet China's emission control standards.

I guess you all are going to have to keep those Hummers 'cause you won't be able to export them.

Having just returned from that country, I can attest that human life is cheap over there. Oh, on the surface, everything looks beautiful and clean and spruced up, but delve underneath that flashy new exterior and you'll see the undernourished worker drones toiling from sunup to sundown. Heaven knows how terrible the situation is far out in the country that they prefer conditions in the city. Pollution is so bad in some places that the crops are stunted. During our 10 day stay, the air quality was good for only 2.

There are no copyright laws. Our cable kept going out. Our host explained that the service was filched from the Philippines. That government would cut off all channels except the religious channels. It would take the Chinese a few days to figure things out and offer the purloined service again.

You can purchase almost brand new, high quality American movies for less than $2.00, and the Gucci bags in the fakes market look and feel real.

My sister in law refused to eat the meat over there, worried about additives that boosted protein content. And one upscale massage parlor wouldn't let me take a photo of its interior, worried that someone might duplicate their logo, which happens all the time.

I could go on and on. So, regulate away, America. Our hard working, law abiding citizens need the protection of our laws. Otherwise the Wolfowitzes, Cheneys, and Rumsfelds and their Halliburton cronies would ride roughshod over us.
