You are a sweetheart. Thank you for your kind words. Those lakes were scary as shit. We fished them all. I felt exactly like you did with the trees, like they were going to grab me and pull them down. Then there were all the water moccassins swimming up to the boat...

oh geeze, water mocassins and gigantic turtles. but the scariest thing about the big lakes? those "man-sized catfish" that were always hovering around the dam. urban legend. maybe. probably. but who wants to find out? catfish give the willies skulking along the muddy bottom.

the only time i ever went noodling i was on some serious dope. "just tickle it under the chin, honey, then jam your hand down its throat."

but tater, sweet memories of your dad. that was really beautiful.
