It's kind of annoying that he doesn't think he got enough attention or appreciation for what he did. Weren't people collecting money for him? I think he got plenty of attention and lots of people thanking him for exposing the hypocricy. And as a "model" I'm sure all the publicity will probably help him. He wasn't going to be able to keep working as a prostitute forever, anyway.
I really don't understand why everyone has had their tongues so far up Meth-Connection-Mikey's butt. Sorry, that was mean... I just don't understand all the salivation on his behalf. I think it's great that he exposed a hypocrite, but it's not as if Haggard were a national name before the outing. I'm not buying the idea that he played a "HUGE" part in getting the Democratic congress elected. I don't see these same people fawning all over Deborah Jean Palfrey, who was at least as honorable for naming the former "AIDS czar" as a client of her "massage service."
The LAST election? After the first 4 years?? wow.

All you need to do is watch the documentary "Jesus Camp" to understand what kind of a person Ted Haggard was (and how powerful he was) and how important Mike Jones' actions were. I don't care who he voted for. He saw a serious injustice being done, and he stood up and Did The Right Thing, at no small risk to himself and to his livelihood. If anything, I think the fact that he's a Bush-voting "moderate" makes what he did even more impactful.
