maybe the spiders are doing what we can't

Laying a big old sticky varmint trap for George Bush.

Amazing spider web in Tex-ass.

Oh honey, Laura sucked all the blood out of that husk of a corpse ages ago. What the coke and booze couldn't finish, the evil librarian took care of. Besides, if the spiders feasted on all that dumbness, they would have simply created a quagmire, not an intricate web...

What do you think of Bush recently deploying troops to Washington DC for a year of duty? Is this strictly for defense against terrorist attacks or could it be for protecting the president and his administration from average American citizens ready to storm the gates and demand their country back?

To add to previous post: some have commented that they suspect the Administration is setting up for high threat alert posturing during the presidential election season, in the hopes enough people will be duped into voting Republican again.

Lynette--maybe this would be worth your covering in a separate blog entry. I'd like to hear your (and others) take on it.

melanie, that's a great idea. i'll be writing a post sunday for Sirens Chronicles, a joint effort by a passel of rowdy women.

i think you're right, only i am really concerned that it will be our attack on iran that is going to create major chaos and might, perhaps (oh please lord) create enough of a nightmare that the average american would WAKE THE FUCK UP and take action.

thanks for the suggestion . .

You're welcome. I look forward to what you write up. You are more optimistic about what the outcome of a revolt would mean to America than I am. I think a lot of people who are appear passive/apathetic about politics may fall into the category of thinking the bastards that have control of the military, have control of the country. Period. A huge price in blood and loss of freedom would be paid trying to change the status quo, I think, and possibly could worsen things for the citizens of America.

I should leave the rest of my commentary to follow your post, though. :)

oh melanie, i'm not optimistic. especially given recent events with bush's private army, blackwater. it appears blackwater's now developing an air force. . . . more to come on that.

and thank you for your thoughtful comments.

Dahling, I saw this and thought to put it on my blog, but daggone it you beat me to it. Scientists say the area smells putrid, what with all those flies and mosquitos rotting in the web. The place buzzes with insects trying to escape the web.

Ick.

Yet I like spiders. They free my environment of flies and skeeters. And they have 8 lovely eyes.
